The costs of localisation and/or translation of a product can vary greatly. It depends on the text volume, and the complexity of the data format. The costs of a project always consist of the costs for translation and for processing and managing the project.
We will gladly prepare a non-binding estimate for you. This includes a point-by-point description of the tasks and their estimated costs, as well as an estimate of the project duration.
We can prepare a detailed price estimate for you, granted you provide us with all of the files to be translated. However, if this is not possible, we can also prepare an estimate based on representative data or a paper hardcopy.
Our prices are listed in our brochure, which we will be happy to send you.
If we repeatedly process documents with the same source and target languages, the redundancy of the text constantly increases, provided that the language use is consistent and uniform formatting is used throughout. The price for such entirely or partially translated passages within the documentation (we call these repetitions "Matches") is significantly lower.
The actual discount depends on the size of the project and the number of matches. For large documents with many matches, a discount of up to 90% is possible on redundant text passages. In customary manuals, the line price for exact repetitions and 100 % matches is reduced by up to 70 %. For partial matches (75 - 99 % matches), the discount usually amounts to up to 50 % of the line price.
The "repository" is a proprietary technology developed by us. It permits context-sensitive importation of text passages from previous jobs during the preparation of a document. This results in significantly lower costs for the translation, while also ensuring consistency and high quality. The line price for text imported from the repository is reduced by 66 - 90 %; for conventional documents generally by 80 %.
Translation memory systems cannot directly read the formats in which documents were created. The documents need to be converted into a format that can be read by the system. After the translation, the original format has to be restored. The complexity of this task depends on the format and structure of the file.
By overwrite mode we mean:
The layout adjustment consists of professional foreign-language layout, including proofreading and generating a PDF.
